Stages of Change-Part 2
In part 2 of our 6 part series we are focusing on CONTEMPLATION. In this phase of change people are aware of the problems that they are facing. Pros and Cons are being weighed.
I think most of us can relate to making PROS and CONS for a lot of things we make decisions for. What we eat, if we want to start a workout program, what type of workouts we want to do, How many times a week we want to workout, what we buy at the grocery store and etc...
Start making a list of those things you have contemplated doing. It could be getting your cholesterol numbers lower, stop smoking, improve your eating habits, eat less junk food, cut back on soft drinks, join a fitness center and many more.
No matter what you are trying to accomplish with your health and fitness, if the PROS typically outweigh the CONS, it might be something worth moving forward with.
If we want to relate this to training we can look at a prospect who might be following our email list, Facebook Post, Instagram Post and so on. They could follow this for years before they finally make a decision to start making a list of Pros and Cons of getting their health back. They will be well informed of what we have to offer, they have to decide what they want to do next. No-one can tell you what to do!!
