Number 1 Excuse I Hear in Regards to Training

Today I may strike a nerve or even piss you off a little, but thats ok. You can continue to read my next post if thats the case.

I was sitting in the gym the other day when a guy came in to check out the facility. I showed him around and asked him what he was interested in. He stated that he was just trying to get back into working out a bit and he needed somewhere to workout. I told him what we offered and as he was taking it all in he asked how much is it for a month. I briefly gave him the range of anywhere form $249-$1200 a month.

He gasped and turned around and walked out.

Now for me Im thinking that this guy just might need to go down to Planet Fitness and get a membership. But have we really come to a point in our lives where we can’t even invest in ourselves to get better. We can’t make the sacrifices necessary to be able to afford a gym membership like:

  • Not going to get the extra coffee during the week

  • Taking your lunch to work instead of going out to eat for every meal

  • Not driving a brand new car, but instead driving a used one

There are other countless ideas, but you get the point. Sometimes its easy to put our health and fitness on the back burner just hoping and wishing we stay healthy. Now is the time to invest. Now is the time to take control of YOU. Don’t let someone else dictate what you can and will do. Hire a trainer, join a gym that has your best interest, and take back your health.

As one of my clients says on a regular basis. “ I don’t care what it cost to train with you because I know i’m getting exactly what I paid for and more.” If you pay cheap you get cheap in return.

Its not about expensive, its about Quality of Life and how much you want to save long term.
